Participants will develop an understanding of the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS), including the key principles of capacity assessment, best-interest decision making, consent, restrictive practices, and safeguarding individual rights.

The training aims to equip front line practitioners and managers with the knowledge and confidence to apply MCA and DoLS legislation appropriately within their day-to-day roles, ensuring lawful, person-centred practice and promoting the independence, dignity, and rights of adults they support.

Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (Afternoon Session)

  • Recognise restrictive practices and consider less restrictive alternatives.
