Seven Minute Briefings 
SARs are published both as 7-Minute Briefings and more detailed reports with recommendations for any changes to the way services are provided. 7-Minute Briefings come from a technique used by the FBI. They are based on research which suggests that seven minutes is an ideal time span to concentrate and learn. Learning from SARs has also been used to create 7-Minute briefings covering a range the following themes:

National Analysis of SARs 
The second national analysis of SARs completed between April 2019 and March 2023, in England, was produced by the Local Government Association (LGA) and the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS). Its purpose was to identify priorities for sector-led improvement including learning from Covid-19. A copy of the report can be found here
